"I’m the founder of an online farmer’s market that is based in Pennsylvania. We have offerings from local food producers and set up a curbside pickup for our member base once a week."
The Challenge
" We were deciding whether to use Shopify but found that it didn’t have everything we needed to do our business. There were limitations to the platform, especially for the unique service we offer, which is a farmer’s market concept but with a curbside pickup component. We asked Software Pro to help us make modifications to the platform to better fit our business needs. "
The Approach
" Being a startup during the COVID-19 pandemic, we were only in our infant months of creation, so we had to focus on the website itself. We were able to do most of the work on the frontend since Shopify is so easy to use, but Software Pro helped us with backend development, coding and making custom modifications to its functionalities. Their team made it possible for users to schedule a pickup time. They also brought on certain apps to allow us to conduct our business. We test the product several times to make sure it works the way we want it to, and they make changes to it if necessary. "
" We had a main contact from the very beginning. Other team members are also involved and offer their different expertise on the different aspects of the website. At most, we are in touch with three people. They offered other departments to work with us and offer frontend and advertising advice, but at this phase in the business, we’re just sticking with the backend team."
