About This Project
Miiskin set out to democratize access to dermatology care by connecting patients with board-certified dermatologists through a secure, mobile-first telehealth platform. With dermatologist wait times averaging 36 days nationally, Miiskin's vision was to deliver expert skin care consultations within 24 hours through a seamless digital experience.
The Problem
What Needed Solving
Dermatology is one of the most visually driven medical specialties, making it particularly well-suited for telehealth, yet extremely technically demanding. Building a HIPAA-compliant platform with high-resolution image capture, secure video consultation, AI-assisted triage, and EHR integration required healthcare engineering expertise that most agencies lack.

Our Approach
How We Solved It
Software Pro designed and built Miiskin from the ground up as a HIPAA-compliant telehealth platform. We implemented BAA-covered AWS infrastructure with encryption at rest and in transit, a custom image capture pipeline optimized for dermatological detail, and WebRTC-based video consultations with clinical-grade connection quality. Our team built a smart scheduling engine, integrated with major EHR platforms via FHIR APIs, and delivered a provider-facing web dashboard alongside the patient-facing mobile app.
